My works today are an engagement with Socio-Political concerns, posing an enquiry into what is it to be human, and the “abuse of Power”, “Oppression and neglect, injustice and erosion”. Currently I am engaged more with being specific about “historicity” and dignity of labour, basic human rights, and above all “the worth of life” of an individual who simply wants to work, earn a livelihood, run a home, and live with dignity. Capitalism, Ecology and Consumerism is what I’ve been engaged as subjects of enquiry in the past.

My stylistic approach is “eclectic” and process involves reconstructing the images (theatrical manner) so as to speak about the concerns in a work. Use of fragmentation is the prime feature that I employ, as a means to convey Partition/Conflict/Deprivation. My Painting or making Art objects, also involve working with various industrial materials like Red-oxide, Strainer pigments, resin adhesives, found objects, tools etc. I converge on these today urgencies, therefore questions like, “where do we come from, who are we, where do we go from here, an attempt of experiencing and understanding the challenge of sustenance and survival in adverse situations of a common-man’s life.
