Every work I create begins as an experience within myself. Painting, for me, is a way of understanding and visualizing the intricate textures and patterns that shape my life. Through each brushstroke, I trace emotions, memories, and sensations — discovering how they manifest into form, color, and rhythm. The act of painting allows me to realize this process in its entirety, becoming both a reflection and a revelation. Over time, I have come to believe that it is equally important to translate these experiences into words, allowing thought and image to coexist and extend my visual language.
I am a Mumbai-based visual artist and hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. My artistic journey has led me to present solo exhibitions in Mumbai, Delhi, Lausanne (Switzerland), Melbourne (Australia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), and Yokohama (Japan). I have also participated in artist residencies at the Kanoria Centre for Arts in Ahmedabad and at the Platypus Design Lab, Harley Gallery, Nottingham (UK), as part of the HAT International Artist Residency Program.
Each of these experiences — whether through travel, dialogue, or solitude in the studio — deepens my engagement with the world and myself. My practice continues to evolve through this ongoing process of observation, reflection, and transformation. Every painting becomes a new experience, a moment of realization, and a way to map the patterns of my own journey.
