I'm Shefali Sadhu-Banerjee, a creative soul shaped by images, textures, and stories. I began my artistic journey at Sir J.J. School of Art, where I studied Painting, and later deepened my practice through a Master’s in Printmaking — etching on zinc became my chosen language.

Printmaking taught me patience, precision, and the quiet poetry of process. My work has been shown in exhibitions in Mumbai and Chennai, including at the Bombay Art Society and Art India shows. I was honoured to receive the Camlin Award for Best Printmaking and a Fellowship from Lalit Kala Kendra, Chennai. I also had the privilege of learning under artist K.M. Palaniappan, whose mentorship helped shape my work.

In time, my curiosity led me to explore another form of storytelling — documentary filmmaking. I worked alongside the renowned filmmaker Arun Khopkar, assisting on Music and Modern Indian Art, a project that deepened my understanding of rhythm, image, and meaning.

Art, for me, has always been a journey — one that moves between mediums but stays rooted in feeling, reflection, and play.
