Sweta Ankit Shah is a passionate and intuitive visual artist based in Mumbai, specializing in watercolor portraits and non-representational (abstract) painting. With a strong foundation in traditional Indian aesthetics and contemporary visual language, her artistic journey bridges the spiritual and the expressive. Sweta works as a freelance artist, creating custom paintings, intricate doodles, and beadwork, while also conducting art workshops for children, nurturing creativity in young minds.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Fine Arts (Mural Painting) at the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, after recently completing her Bachelor in Visual Arts from SNDT Women’s University. Her academic background is enriched by a G.D. Art in Drawing and Painting from L. S. Raheja School of Art, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Indian Aesthetics and a Diploma in Jainism from the University of Mumbai, reflecting her deep engagement with India’s philosophical and artistic traditions.

Sweta’s learning extends beyond the conventional, having completed a Steiner (Waldorf-inspired) Education Course at Tridha School and a Yoga Teacher’s Training Program at The Yoga Institute in Santacruz. She has also studied Sanskrit at Sri Chitrapur Math, and began her formal art education with a Foundation Course at the Model Art Institute, Dadar.

Her work is marked by creativity, intricacy, and emotional depth, drawing inspiration from motherhood, spiritual inquiry, and the natural world. Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Sanskrit, she seamlessly blends language, culture, and colour in her work. Her interests span art, music, poetry, and photography, all of which inform and enrich her artistic expression.
