Description
This evocative metal sculpture by Ajit Shirke is part of a remarkable series titled “Growth 1, Growth 2, and Growth 3.” Rising gracefully from a solid wooden base, each piece in this series explores the organic evolution of form, symbolizing the continuous journey of transformation and renewal. The sculpture captures a sense of upward motion — a fluid, almost ethereal energy spiraling toward infinity. The textured metal surface reflects both natural erosion and the precision of craftsmanship, suggesting harmony between nature and human creation. The central opening, bridged by rhythmic metallic bars, evokes the idea of emergence — the moment between stillness and expansion. As the form ascends, it embodies vitality, resilience, and spiritual ascent. Through the Growth series, Shirke masterfully balances weight and grace, creating a poetic dialogue between metal and movement — a timeless representation of life’s ever-evolving force.
