These artworks by Shilpa Patole belong to her ongoing visual exploration titled “Revitalising Energy.” Each composition carries a distinct emotional temperature, conveyed through carefully chosen colour fields and structural fragments arranged in dynamic balance. The pieces use layers of textured brushwork, angular wooden or metallic-like forms, and broad swathes of colour to suggest movement, tension, and restoration. Her work does not seek to represent a recognizable landscape or object; instead, it creates an atmosphere—an inner terrain of thought and feeling.
The contrasting palettes play a deeply significant role. The warm reds, ochres, and earthy browns evoke a sense of rootedness, grounding the viewer in memory and experience. Meanwhile, the cool blues and greens bring in calm, clarity, and the breath of renewal. The interplay of these colour zones suggests the constant push and pull of emotional states—moments of intensity, followed by release.
The sculptural elements in the paintings—sharp linear forms, block-like planes, and layered segments—appear almost like remnants of a lived story: fragments of time, architecture, or memory reassembled. They feel like pieces of something once whole, now reorganized to create a new meaning. This act of re-composition reflects the essence of “revitalising energy”—the power to rebuild from what has been, to transform the old into something resonant, present, and alive.
Shilpa Patole’s work invites quiet reflection. It encourages the viewer to slow down, trace the textures, and sense the movement between disassembly and reconstruction—the subtle rhythm of inner renewal.
