Triptych
In Triptych, the artist explores the layered relationship between post-industrial society, urban utopian vision, and the hidden spiritual geometry underlying human settlements. The three panels form a symbolic Trine — representing creation, preservation, and transformation — echoing the Vedic understanding of harmony between cosmic and terrestrial energies. Each part of the triptych corresponds to a trinal relationship in astrology, reflecting the flow of creative energy across material, mental, and spiritual dimensions.
The artist draws inspiration from the concept of Nakshatras, the lunar constellations that shape human consciousness and collective moods. The central panel, aligned with Purva Ashadha Nakshatra, embodies the quest for victory through self-realization and purification — a reflection of humankind’s post-industrial yearning for renewal. The left panel relates to Rohini, symbolizing material beauty and fertility — echoing the industrial age’s obsession with growth and creation. The right panel aligns with Shatabhisha, the “hundred healers,” evoking the technological age’s desire for healing through innovation and collective awareness.
The artist also invokes the idea of Gram Devta, the local deity who guards the land and community. By integrating this ancestral presence into the contemporary urban psyche, Triptych becomes a ritual offering to both tradition and modernity. The textures of mud, metal, and pigment merge as symbolic substances connecting the sacred with the synthetic. Thus, the work becomes not only a psychogeography mapping of urban existence but also a sacred alignment between cosmic order, social structure, and the artist’s inner landscape — a living city as a mandala of devotion and transformation.
